| Chip Tuning
We can provide Chip Tuning power upgrades solutions for your vehicle. There are three options available to upgrading the engines power:
OPTION 1. CHIP TUNING. This method of tuning is suitable for a wide range of petrol, diesel cars and commercials. The engine control chip, which is responsible for all parameters of engine performance, is removed from the ECU and replaced with a new one with a new programme. The new information alters various engine parameters including turbo pressure, injection angle, throttle response etc. The end result being an increase of 15-35% more power and enhanced driver enjoyment. You retain your original chip should you wish to convert the car back to standard. Non Turbo Chip conversions from £275 inclusive of vat & fitting. OPTION 2. ODB (Serial Programming). This is the newest method of tuning, it requires no chip change or plug in box. The ECU is simply reprogrammed via the on board diagnostic port with a laptop computer, new files are downloaded which alters performance in a similar way to a chip. The customer receives a coded key allowing the car to be returned to standard at any time, this method whilst being the most simple is not available for every model so please check with us to see if your vehicle can be tuned in this way. OPTION 3. PLUG IN MODULE. These modules are used when options 1 and 2 can not be used. They are also used as an alternative for the DIY and Mail Order markets. This system is only used on a small number of petrol vehicle applications. The modules are mainly used on Diesel applications. We are appointed agents for Dastek and Tunit. We can supply and fit the modules here in our fully equipped workshop facility or mail order for DIY application. Prices vary dependent upon application contact us for your specific requirements.
