Rolling Road Shootouts

The following information is designed to ensure that you and the members of your group have an enjoyable day.

Our Rolling Road is one of the most advance and accurate in the country.  The single roller technology allows us to accurately test two wheel drive vehicles up to 1200 Bhp and 200 Mph, unthinkable on a conventional two roller design.  With its Data Acquisition System (DAS) software and computer control its easy to see why some of Europe’s top Touring Car teams use the same system to develop their race cars.

What do I need to do to arrange a Rolling Road Shootout?

To get the best out of your Rolling Road Shootout day follow the short list below in order and we’ll do the rest.

  1. Organise a group of between 10 and 20 vehicles (2wd of course).
  2. Call us to arrange a suitable date (Rolling Road days will only be held on Saturdays).
  3. Get all members of your group to fill in a booking form, sign it and make sure you send it back to us at least one week before your scheduled day.  This will allows us to sort out a running order for the cars involved.
  4. Please ensure that before you arrive you have checked the oil and coolant levels (and topped up if required), and correctly check and set your tyre pressures.

What will happen on the day?

On the day we will arrange the cars in the running order and carry out basic checks on the vehicle before it’s tested.  Once these basic checks have been carried out the car will be loaded onto the Rolling Road by a member of staff.  When the member of staff is happy that the vehicle is ready they will perform the “Power Run” on the vehicle.

Will I get a printout of the Power Run figures?

Every car that runs on the Rolling Road will be given a colour printout showing power at the engine, power at the wheels, engine torque and transmission losses.  This information will also be stored on the system for future comparison.

What happens if I want further Rolling Road time spent tuning my car?

With the Data Acquisition System (DAS) that we have on the Rolling Road as well as some of the most up to date Bosch diagnostic equipment available we will be able to carry out comprehensive testing and diagnostics on your vehicle.

During the day consult with a member of staff and they will happily arrange an appointment for you to return your vehicle for the addition work.

What will the cost be for the Rolling Road day?

Providing that the minimum number of 10 vehicles are tested on the day the cost will be £35 inc vat for 10 to 15 cars and £30 inc vat for 15 or mare cars per Power Run.

When do we pay for the Rolling Road day?

The payment for the day will be taken after the “Rolling Road Booking Form” has been checked and everyone taking part has been accounted for.

Will I be able to have more than one Power Run on the day?

This all depends on how well the day goes.  If there is sufficient time then we will do our very best to carry out additional Power Runs (there will be the need to make further payments for your additional runs).

I hope that this clarifies what you need to know and do for your day to be a success.  If however you do required further information please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Thank you for taking the time to read this information and we look forward to seeing you soon.
